The latest RedBook Inspect data reveals that used prestige vehicles with RedBook Inspect vehicle inspection reports generate more buyer interest and sell faster

 

Australian car buyers value the transparency and confidence delivered by independent vehicle inspection reports, delivering big benefits to prestige dealers, the latest RedBook Inspect data reveals.

RedBook Inspect data, obtained from carsales.com.au between 1 July 2019 – 30 June 2020, reveals that:

1. RedBook Inspect inspected prestige vehicles receive 104% more leads on average*

2. RedBook Inspect inspected prestige vehicles received 99% more interstate leads than comparable non-RBI inspected vehicles*

3. RedBook Inspect inspected prestige vehicles received 128% more views per vehicle than vehicles without an inspection*

 

Prestige brands assessed in the data include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Land Rover, Volvo Car, Mini, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, Infiniti, Ferrari, Bentley, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren, Lotus, Alpine, Morgan, Rolls-Royce.

The data verifies the effectiveness of RedBook Inspect vehicle reports in generating more views and enquiries on used prestige vehicles listed for sale on carsales.com.au and converting enquiries to sale faster – helping dealers improve inventory turnover and minimise holding costs.

Vehicles with a RedBook Inspect report are clearly marked on carsales.com.au with a ‘certified badge’ that’s highly visible from both the search results and detailed view pages. Furthermore, consumers can narrow their search to only shop vehicles that have been inspected by RedBook Inspect, via the carsales search panel.

“Australians love prestige vehicles and it’s no surprise that brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi are amongst the most searched and viewed for used vehicles on carsales,” explains Freeman.

“And now, with overseas travel off the agenda for the foreseeable future, more consumers may opt to treat themselves in the form of purchasing of a prestige vehicle.”

Freeman advises dealers to focus on merchandising their inventory online maximise the unprecedented car-buying activity predicted this summer.
