Catch up on carsales' latest updates from the last quarter including product launches, industry events and more

Here at carsales, the start of the financial year has been both eventful and productive. While the world was being taken storm by a certain fluffy penguin and a moist little hippo, we were busy engaging with our partners and customers across several key industry events.

Before punters flocked to Sealife for a glimpse at Pesto, the annual AADA convention in Melbourne kicked off the quarter and gave us the opportunity to connect with dealers over two action-packed days. Among the key topics of discussion was the importance of cyber security, particularly as it becomes a non-negotiable factor in 2024 as well as a panel focusing on the state of the EV and used EV market with our friends at RedBook.

Towards the end of the quarter, we had the opportunity to strengthen our relationships with clients during a retreat in Queenstown. The event was a memorable experience that further solidified our partnerships. Check out the full debreif of these events and our activity for the quarter below.

Open House ’25

Our annual media upfront event, Open House ’25, was a highlight on the calendar. This year’s event centred on innovation, strategic insights, and the latest advancements in privacy-focused advertising. One of the standout announcements was the launch of carsales CAPI, a technology solution designed to enhance audience targeting, improve ad performance, and provide better measurement capabilities, all while prioritising privacy by design.

Additionally, carsales mediahouse announced a strategic integration partnership with Sesimi, aimed at streamlining the creative production process. This collaboration is set to enhance the Ignition platform, enabling users to efficiently produce and manage high-quality campaign assets while ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
