Free car pre-purchase inspections offered for flood-affected residents in NSW and Queensland
RedBook Inspect is helping Aussies replace their flood-affected cars by providing free pre-purchase inspections.*
Following in the wake of recent record-setting floods in South-East Queensland and throughout New South Wales, RedBook Inspect will offer a limited number of the regions’ residents a complimentary pre-purchase vehicle inspection to assist them to select a vehicle to replace their flood-affected vehicle.*
Available until May 31, 2022, to the first 50 eligible customers, RedBook Inspect pre-purchase inspections cast an expert eye over vehicles and provide consumers with added security when buying a used car.
According to the Insurance Council of Australia, thousands of motor vehicle claims have been lodged since the floods, with many vehicles already considered to be write-offs.
“This is a catastrophic event, and the ripple effects for many Australian families will be long lasting,” said RedBook Inspect’s Barry Freeman.
“Via our RedBook Inspect pre-purchase inspections we’re hopeful we can make it a little easier for some to get back on the road again. RedBook Inspect’s expert technicians use the latest diagnostic tools and years of experience to provide a detailed report on vehicles for sale. The report includes key data (VIN, etc), an overall five-star rating as well as individual ratings for the condition of the car’s interior, exterior, engine, tyres and a quick summary from the vehicle inspector. The inspection also highlights visible accident, hail or flood damage.*
NSW and Queensland residents who wish to take advantage of the offer can call RedBook Inspect’s customer service hotline on 1800 907 861 and provide the registration details of their flood-affected vehicle. Once verified, a RedBook Inspect customer service representative will be in touch to arrange the free pre-purchase inspection.

The offer is limited to the first 50 Eligible Customers and expires on the earlier of 31 May 2022 and the date on which the customer redemption limit is reached. Eligible Customer means a private (non-commercial) customer that: (a) is located in a flood affected region of Qld or NSW; (b) owns a Qld or NSW registered car that sustained flood damage between 24 February 2022 and 9 March 2022; (c) as a result of the flood damage, has had their car written-off (as confirmed by a NEVDIS search); and (d) books a pre-purchase inspection via the customer service hotline (1800 907 861). Limit of one inspection per Eligible Customer. The inspection is visual only and subject to the Inspection Service Terms.
