Aussie market leader’s fleet management suite now extends to ForceField Share.

Toyota Fleet Management (TFM) has launched a new car-sharing platform in Australia called ForceField Share.

Initiated to help businesses manage shared-vehicle fleets and other assets more efficiently and cost-effectively, in an environment when variable demand for company vehicles is being created by staff returning to on-site locations, ForceField Share is available for business fleets ranging in size from five to 5000 vehicles Australia-wide.

ForceField Share is a cloud-based solution designed to provide fleet managers with complete visibility over their assets at all times, by managing the scheduling, booking, tracking and reporting of shared vehicles and other assets including machinery and equipment.

Not to be confused with the Toyota Halo fleet management platform established by Toyota Australia in 2021 to directly manage all-Toyota vehicle fleets, ForceField Share is a new platform created by Toyota Fleet Management – a subsidiary of Toyota Finance Australia that reports directly to Toyota Finance Corporation in Japan, not via Toyota Australia.

Competing directly with the likes of Leaseplan, Custom Fleet and SG Fleet, Toyota Fleet Management offers services to a large number of fleets that may have a mix of vehicle brands and other assets.

TFM product and strategy chief James Bridekirk said the new ForceField Share platform will improve productivity and reduce administration and fleet costs for businesses by delivering a cost-effective, fully-featured platform that enables full use of shared vehicles and equipment.

“ForceField Share has been clearly designed and developed with not only drivers in mind, but also fleet managers who will benefit from productivity and workflow improvements within their fleet,” he said.

“Right from the beginning, we wanted to ensure it not only offers a very cost-effective solution, but also a very user-friendly one.

“Fleet managers can effectively identify and keep up to date with reassigning underutilised assets, stay on top of maintenance requirements and manage any damage and repairs.

“Users can quickly make and manage their bookings using a web browser on their desktop, or through the native iOS and Android mobile apps.

“The intuitive interface, extensive functionality and centralised cloud-based system enables fleets to optimise their vehicle usage, improve efficiency and help reduce fleet costs.”

Integrating with ForceField Telematics to give fleet customers of all sizes and locations a scalable end-to-end mobility platform, ForceField Share is supported by Toyota’s specialist in-house Connected Mobility team and was developed with TFM technology partner PROCON Telematics.

TFM says the new platform will benefit from rapid development over time, including the introduction of “new features and functionality like no other car-sharing platform currently in the market”.
