2025 in the rear-view: A look back on the year with carsales

This year, we refreshed our look but our focus never changed: helping our partners drive better results. And in 2025, there was plenty to buy, sell and love.

Australians continued to turn to carsales as their go-to place to research, buy and sell. With more than 58 million visitors¹ across 276 million sessions¹, inventory and campaigns received significant exposure. For our dealer partners, it meant plenty of opportunities to convert interest into enquiries and sales. For OEMs and agencies, it opened the door to influencing purchase decisions and keeping your brand front of mind. 

Whether car shoppers were relaxing at home, commuting or browsing after hours, presence was hard to miss with 124 million app sessions².  

 

The digital showroom never closes, with 38% of enquiries happening outside business hours², giving you the chance to capture enquiries even when your doors are shut. 

A new look that turned heads

 
When we launched our refreshed brand, Australia noticed. The campaign behind it delivered 222.5 million impressions³ and 78.9 million video views³, plus OOH, social and sports moments everywhere. All of it worked hard to drive attention back to the carsales brand and ultimately, to your listings.

Behind the scenes, we focused on making every part of your day easier, faster and more efficient.

AutoGate continued to streamline dealer workflows and communication. Features like in-app voice calling, helped deliver clearer, more recognisable calls while AI transcription and summarisation assisted with keeping every detail on hand for faster and more informed follow-ups.

Ignition helped turn planning, buying and measuring campaigns into a few quick clicks. Tools like Editorial Boost helped advertisers amplify their high performing carsales articles, and carsales CAPI closed the loop, linking your campaigns on carsales with actions on your website and unlocking powerful insights.
