At carsales, we understand the importance of safeguarding the quality of leads our dealers receive. Blocko, our dedicated spam mitigation tool, has been an essential component in achieving this goal since. Since Blocko’s launch, we have been monitoring results, and delivered iterative improvements, to reduce the likelihood that enquiries from illegitimate sources land in a dealer’s AutoGate account.  

Performance Highlights Post-Rule Changes 

 

 

Since the implementation of the new rules in mid-April, Blocko has continued to prove its value: 

  • Enhanced Spam Detection: Blocko’s ability to automatically identify and block spam has improved significantly. Post-changes, the tool has essentially doubled its efficiency when compared to the period prior to the update. This improvement translates to a more efficient process for dealers, who can now focus on quality leads rather than weeding out the bad ones. 
  • Reduction in Rejections: We’ve seen a 62% drop in the total number of leads that needed to be overturned through our new manual review process, demonstrating Blocko’s growing accuracy in its initial assessment. 
  • Overall Approval Rate: Blocko’s rigorous screening has led to a minor reduction in the overall approval number of leads approved to be sent through to dealers—this reflects the tool’s increased vigilance in ensuring only high-quality leads make it through to dealers.

One of the most significant benefits of these enhancements is the time savings for our dealers and partners. With fewer spam leads slipping through the cracks and a lower volume of retroactive rejections, dealers can now dedicate more time to genuine customer interactions, ultimately driving better business outcomes.
