carsales has updated the presentation of stock for sale to include information about key consumer offerings.

Dealers who are going the extra mile to provide key ‘virtual showroom’ consumer tools will now have the ability to champion these feature on carsales.

In response to the changing face of automotive sales during Australia’s COVID-19 measures, carsales has updated its presentation of stock for sale to include extra information about key dealer services.

The services offered by dealers can now be displayed as ‘badges’ on individual stock for sale items.

Services that can be highlighted include: home test drives; video call or tour; buy from home facilities; and more. Dealers also have the ability to flag phone deposits, prompt response, guaranteed appointment and other offerings.

DEALER GUIDE TO POSTING BADGES

“The ‘badges’ have been introduced to provide consumers with the confidence that dealers are still open for business and are keen and ready to assist purchasers,” carsales Dealer Services Director, Craig Hynes explained.

“Our own data is showing that consumers are still keen to buy, but in these uncertain times, the most successful dealers are going above and beyond. They understand that this is a time when the buying experience has to be one their customers will engage with positively — and remember long after,” Hynes commented.

carsales recently delivered to dealers a ‘best practice’ manual for making the most of their virtual showroom – the cars they have listed at carsales. Key steps included the adoption of video as a sales tool. Dealers can now add video to their carsales listings at no extra charge.

The dealer badges initiative is another of the fast-to-market innovations carsales has rolled out to help the auto industry during the national COVID-19 response. carsales also recently announced a dealer assistance package that included a zero-fee period and extended payment terms.

carsales dealer badges went live on carsales desktop and mobi sites today (Friday, April 3) and will appear on inventory items over the coming days.
