Convertible keyword searches grow

With warmer times nearing and overseas travel off the agenda, more convertible models may make their way on to consumer shopping lists as Australians make the most of domestic and auto-based travel opportunities.

In September, keyword searches involving the word ‘convertible’ on carsales.com.au increased by 6% compared to the month prior.

LandCruiser retains top spot

When it came to pre-loved makes and models, once again, Toyota LandCruiser topped the most-searched chart as more Australians consider domestic car-based travel, such as caravan-based holidays, while the Toyota HiLux and the Ford Ranger made up the rest of the podium.

Mirroring trends in the new car market, Light Commerical Vehicles (LCVs) and Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) dominated the top 20.

Demand for LCVs

Are the flexible work-and-play attributes of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) increasingly finding favour with Australian car buyers as we move towards the warmer months?

In another bumper month on carsales.com.au, the Ford Ranger was the top searched new car on in September, followed by three of its main rivals; Isuzu D-MAX, Mitsubishi Triton and Toyota HiLux.
